We needed to rent a car during our holiday to Sweden - I was in two minds whether to bother at all with so many negative reviews of car rental companies. But we took a risk and pre-booked a car with Sixt at Gothenburg train station. Upon arrival we were greeted with a friendly team, the car was very clean and spotless and we even got a complimentary upgrade. Have since returned the car with no problems. The car is located in a car park around the back of the station, so if you have heavy suitcases, be aware of that. I think there's more motivation to leave bad reviews understandably if people have had a bad experience, but our experience with Sixt was good, so sharing a positive review to show you can rent a car and it's not always a bad experience!

Note on returning your car: the return car park is at Kruthusgatan 1. Then head in through the station to go to the office on the other side of the building and drop the keys
