Your way to SIXT

The SIXT branch is situated in the northern part of main Railway station building in Ljubljana. Arriving with a train, you should follow the way to the northern entrance to the building and you will see the office right in front of you, on the right side of the northern main entrance.

Coming from city centre/bus station

If you are arriving from the direction city centre/bus station, you should use the southern main entrance, follow the main passage through the building, exit trough the northern entrance, and you should see the SIXT branch on your left hand side.

SIXT Parking

Parking is avaliable on the eastern gravel parking lot, on the crossroads of streets Masaryikova cesta and Njegoseva cesta. The parking place is called Sixt Rent A Car Ljubljana Railway parking (Google maps etc.). Access to the parking is possible from east. Cordinates: 46°03'27.8"N 14°31'07.8"E

Everything is practically within one hour reach - either you decide to take the trip to the oldest town in Ptuj, maybe visit natural springs of Rogaska Slatina, or go exploring the caves in Postojna or Skocjan. In the winter you can go to Kranjska gora or Krvavec to check the ski slopes or in the summer cool down in the Sea and visit Piran and Portoroz along the way- or if this is not refreshing enough for you- go to the region of Gorenjska, make some hiking tours and when returning take a swim in the beautiful lake Bohinj or Bled. Ljubljana offers a lot of sightseeing tours as well - and you can reach them all on foot if you start from our branch - if you got on Miklosiceva street in 10 minutes you arrive to the Presern square with the beautiful Tromostovje - the three bridges accros Ljubljanica river, designed by our famous architect Joze Plecnik. You can follow the banks of the river and feel the heartbeat of Ljubljana in a number of cafes and restaurants nearby. You can also go to Ljubljanski grad - on foot or with a funicular railway.

Friendly service, quick exchange and actually a free upgrade as the lady thought that we rented a too small vehicle for climbing 😅 you have to walk a few hundred meters to pick up the car, but that is normal in my experience if the office is directly at a train station. Good experience!

The staff at Ljubljana are exceptionally great at customer service. There’s a small walk between office and car pick up, but their instructions were clear and easy to follow and both attendants were outstanding professionals. Really nice to have that level of clarity, professionalism and friendliness - especially as a solo traveler.
