Gas canisters can be requested but are not recommended due to safety concerns. All province and soum centers have a gas station. In case a gas station is unattended the gas station staff needs to be called. Refueling every time when passing a gas station at a half full or less tank is highly recommended. Vehicles should never be driven with less than 20% full fuel tank in southern Mongolia.
