The minimum age for car rental in Malta is 21, with a license held for at least 1 year. Some car categories have a higher minimum age, and a young drier surcharge applies to those under 25.
You will need a valid driver’s license that has been held for at least 1 year, plus an ID or passport. If your license is in a non-Roman alphabet like Cyrillic or Arabic, you will also need an international driving permit.
