It is important to be aware that driving rules and regulations in Malaysia can vary from the UK. Follow these rules to make sure that you drive safely while in the country:

Good to know when renting in Malaysia
You must be 21 with a valid driver’s license held for a minimum of 2 years for a SIXT car rental in Malaysia.
You will need a valid driver’s license held for at least 2 years, plus an ID or passport. Licenses using a non-Roman alphabet like Greek or Cyrillic must be accompanied by an international driving permit.
We only accept credit cards from internationally recognized companies like Visa and Mastercard. The renter must be the owner of the credit card.
Cross-border rentals are not allowed in Malaysia. It is also not permitted to take your SIXT rental on ferries within the country.
It is generally allowed to book one-way rentals between SIXT stations in Malaysia, depending on the tariff.
