Good to know when renting in Milan
The minimum age for a SIXT rental in Italy is 18, with a driver’s license held for at least 1 year. Some car categories have a higher minimum age, and a young driver surcharge applies to those under 25.
All drivers will need a valid driver’s license and an ID or passport. Those with a license using a non-Roman alphabet like Arabic will also need an international driving permit.
One-way rentals between SIXT stations in Italy are generally allowed, although you need permission from the renting branch. An additional fee may apply.
