As a dual American and Icelandic citizen who’s been working in Iceland tourism for over 10 years I have to say I am thoroughly pleased with the quality service and value and business relationships at sixt. It’s important for customers to do their due diligence and always document their cars as well before renting to avoid any confusion or surprises later. And outside of this universal rule, I can say that it is only been a pleasure working with this company in all metrics.

Great experience what particularly stood out was that when we were returning the car and stated we could not wait for the shuttle since we were running late for our departure at the airport , the staff offered to drive us to the airport after doing a quick inspection of the car. It was December in Iceland so even though it was just a 5 min walk or so , it was very kind.

I would book again from them, I saw bad reviews but still booked with them because there price was lower, I was anxious. However this turned out to be best car renting experience, pick was smooth, the guy Robert explained everything smoothly, drop off was perfect, I was running late and Robert offered me lyft to the airport. He is and amazing guy. Pick up is few 100 meters from the terminal, there is a pick and drop off bus running every 20 mins, you can also choose to walk if you dont have heavy luggage. Pick/drop bus is free 10 out of 10.
